What did your Grandpa do for a living? Where did he live? Who was in his family?
A friend recently made a simple FaceBook posting - "My grandfather was a mule breeder. What did yours do?" How many of you can answer that question???

We all come from a pretty terrific family, in my humble opinion. We can track the family tree was back to the 1600s on most lines - and most of them were in America by that time!!! Most of our original roots are in England, but you can throw in a few Irish, Scottish, Welsh, German, and French to sweeten the pot.
We have signers of the Constitution (see Jacob Broom), we have lots of Revolutionary War veterans (see Martins, Huntingtons, Butlers, etc. ), we have Quaker families (see Sanders, Mendenhalls) , we have Early Settlers by the dozen (see Miners (England), Warners (England), Lathrops (England), Huntingtons (England), Daltons (Wales), Agee (France), Woolsey (England), etc., etc.)
We have War of 1812 veterans (see Martins, etc.). We have a few Civil War participants, but not many - most of our ancestors moved West before the beginnings of the Civil War.
We have many farmers - but that's what people did to survive...
