Wrights & Miners,
et al...
So we have families. And their stories. Lots of families...
Let's see if I can add buttons to take you to a link about each...
This is the farthest back Wright we can find. Personally, I'm thinking he landed from a space ship... Lot Wright, born about 1811 in Pennsylvania (yeah, right, so to speak!) married Mary Martin (who was from Kentucky) in Indiana in 1833. They had kids; she died; he moved West... and died in California in 1889.
The Miners have been tracked and traced back to England. There are thousands of descendants. We visited a church where we saw the entry for the christening of Thomas Minor, our immigrant ancestor. Cool! This photo is of Med and Ella and kids where they were in northern Montana for a couple of years constructing canals...

Woolseys
It's only a rumor we are descended from Cardinal Woolsey - he of the Hampton Court fame. But it's a great story! And the Woolsey/Wolseys did come from England. Chris & I found the grave of the great-grandfather of Thomas Woolsey (above) in a little cemetery in very southwest Virginia. And have photos to prove it.

Daltons
The Daltons came from Wales - no wonder there are good voices in the family! By the 1760s they were in Pennsylvania.
